Every day individuals die, are incarcerated, hurt people, and are hospitalized because of drug and alcohol abuse. Often the "sick don't know that they are sick" and continue to suffer needlessly. Sadly, friends, family members, co-workers, and community members merely lack the training to recognize the signs and symptoms of substance abuse.
